Ultimately, we had the goal of raising some money in support of the fallen Selma PD officer Gonzalo Carrasco’s family. With your incredible help we were able to raise several thousand dollars to donate! We also appreciate all of the business’ working with us to provide some AMAZING raffle prizes. Today Kingsburg Firefighters were honored and humb Today Kingsburg Firefighters were honored and humbled to help provide coverage in the City of Selma. Our staffing in Kingsburg also remained in full service. This allowed our Selma Fire family to be able to attend Officer Carrasco’s funeral during this hard time while keeping the community safe. At the end of the day we’re all family and will support each other to the fullest. Rest In Peace Officer Carrasco 🇺🇸

We will have personnel there collecting monetary donations and will also have multiple raffles available to enter that will benefit his family. The 2022 KFD/KPD annual toy drive was a success. Y The 2022 KFD/KPD annual toy drive was a success. Yesterday your KFD and KPD were able to pass out hundreds of toys to families in need! Throughout Kingsburg our community came together and shared the holiday spirit. Earlier this month we were able to collect thousands of dollars of donation money for our annual toy drive charity event. This allowed us to purchase several hundred toys for families needing assistance. We’d like to thank EVERYONE who contributed and assisted us on making this happen. We couldn’t be more proud of our community and it’s commitment to supporting our cause. Nothing makes us more happy than being able to serve our community! Here are some tips and facts to keep safe during the holidays. Did you know❓ -Thanksgiving is the peak day for home cooking fires with more than three times the daily average for such incidents. Christmas Day and Christmas Eve ranked second and third, with both having nearly twice the daily average.  -Unattended cooking was by far the leading contributing factor in cooking fires and fire deaths. -Cooking causes half (49 percent) of all reported home fires and more than two of every five (42 percent) home fire injuries, and it is the second leading cause of home fire deaths (20 percent). And remember, cook the turkey not the house. 🦃🏠🔥
🎁 TOY DRIVE 🎁 This year, your Kingsburg Fir 🎁 TOY DRIVE 🎁 This year, your Kingsburg Firefighters will be hosting a toy drive. We will be collecting unwrapped toys and have various drop-off points throughout town including KFD Station 1. We will be collecting toys up until December 19th. On December 1st, your Kingsburg Firefighters will be collecting monetary donations to purchase toys. The morning of December 1st you can find us at the intersections of - Sierra/Marion & Sierra/18th Avenue. The donations will be used to purchase toys from local businesses. On this morning, we will also have a booth set up at Walgreens collecting toys. As always, thank you for supporting your Kingsburg Firefighters and local community.
